Doorless and topless to work?
Any of you guys do it, or just around town? I want to, but it will be sitting in a mall parking lot for 4 or 5 hours, seems kinda shady to me, but worth it

I enjoyed it when I did it. However my wife is now paranoid that when/if I ever take my doors off I will get T-boned or something like that.

You might consider something like a bikini top to keep some of the rain off your seats - your front will still get partially wet, but your backside should stay dry

i have to agree with barrio and alfons. i have a detachable faceplate and nobody jacked my radio yet, as for the bikini top i found out real quick better to have than not when the rain rolls in.

I have a bikini top brand new 4 sale if you need one. PM me. I usually go topless and love door less. I don’t think the doors would do much in an accident except you would have Jeep mettle in you instead of a vehicle that hit you.

my jeep was my daily driver for last summer with no doors and a bikini. i work in Manchester NH, its not a big city like Boston but it still has its fair share of crack heads and prostitutes, there was a lot of it in and around the buildings i was working in. i parked in driveways but in view of the street for 8 hours a day, never had a problem.
i would get a bikini not just for the rain but for the sun too. i was getting baked when in the city sitting in traffic. the good thing about driveing your jeep to work is in traffic you can drive over cars. |

I go doorless and topless to work in the winter and spring here in Miami when I know that no sudden thunderstorms are going to pop up. However, working in an office in fairly nice cloths is not the appropriate place to show up sweaty and or wet for nine+ hours.
On the weekends, I'll take the doors and top off for a five minute drive to the grocery store, but during the week I try to leave to the soft top on unless there is less then 10% chance of rain and rather cool.

Go for it! Remove everything that you can from inside, (people will steal anything!), tilt your seats forward to keep the elements off of them, and put the T-case in neutral just in case someone decides to pop your ignition switch and drive away!
I'm lucky, I get to park 10 feet from my desk! |

My former workplace had a parking garage. Never had to worry about those afternoon pop up thunderstorms, plus it kept everything a bit cooler for the trip home.
Now if there is a slight chance of rain, I slip some heavy duty trash bags over the seats and tilt them forward. I use some heavy duty 3 mil Husky contractor bags I found at Home Depot. |

As soon as the weather turns nice, it's no doors or top.... Make sure nothing of value is visible..
Install a kill switch and run a log chain through your steering wheel to your roll bar....Anything to discourage thieves.. Make them find an easier target..

I cant wait for it to get warm for no doors and top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But usally when i go somewhere i try to park closes to the building or try to get near the front parking spaces. Because no one will really do anything in the day time cause they dont know if your watching your jeep from a distance or not.

And on top of it all, don't forget to buckle up!
Can you imagine falling out of your own moving vehicle? |
