I am trying to prove that people should get credit for their work. And I never said anything about paying the actual OP of the story.

i dont give a sh1t who wrote it(pun intended ), that story was the highlight of my week. i have never laughed so hard in my life. my boss came over to see if i was ok, then he read it and laughed his a$$ off as well. VERY good stuff.

The point that you should be concerned with is that you are the only one who thought he stole it. It is clear from the format of the original text that it was copied and pasted. There was no plagarizing going on. Do you always cite the orginal source of information before your write or speak?
