PLYMOUTH Barracuda

Chevrolet should bring back the Firebird?

Cool, but that Allpar article is awful. It reads like an 8 year old telling me about some movie he just saw. What are we talking about? Who is doing what to what? The Challenger is involved? No wait, it's the Avenger?

Some of those renderings and prototype pictures sprinkled in that article like buzz words on the Yahoo home page are based on the Challenger. Whether or not you agree that it's a good one, the Challenger is already the competition for the Mustang and Camaro. There's not going to be another V8 coupe platform separate from the Challenger.

As far as I can tell, they're talking about a v6 replacement for the Dodge Avenger with the Barracuda name. Big deal.

considering how they took one of the best looking muscle cars of the era (70 Challenger) and made it into a bloated pig (no offense to actual pigs intended), I'm still horrified.

(In the 60s I owned an original 65 Barracuda)

Yuck. Looks like a new Challenger was raped by a new Camaro.

If Chrysler wants sales, they'd redesign the running gear for the old '69-'70 Chargers, but keep the body the same! None of this plastic bloated crap.

Eh. Not a fan of the back end. Looks like every other dodge, which is bad.

Why even put a back glass in? You cant see anything out of it.

I owned a 69 Charger RT/SE. Very fast car and looked great. Not many made and price was high. It had a 440 in it

My father-in-law use to have a '69 Superbee with a 440 that was original, and in great condition. I never heard how he obtained it? Unfortunately he sold it a few years ago. A guy paid $60k for it. He took me for a ride on time and I think he used a gallon of gas in just a few city blocks. I about cried when I heard he sold it.

All I'm sayin is, I'm a fan of the old Mopar. The Mopar that used to do some of the most off the wall ****. Like stuff a 426 Hemi in the Dart.

Yeah government regulations and what not, but still...

The time now is 10:51 PM.
