Do you think this could be a scam? (long read)

OK well i dont want to get wenzeled...

Take a look at what i have going and tell me if this looks like it may be a scam to you or not.

now this sounds great, but i look at this guys account records and see that he had signed up on the forum on 4-2-2008 and has 0 posts.

I then send him a offer of XXX.XX and say that i will cover shipping on top of that....

it doesn't sound like a scam, but since he is a new member to the board i would ask to exchange phone numbers and speak with him that way as well as get any personal information you feel neccesary to make yourself comfortable with your purchase.

I googled his SN and came up with NAXJA SN that has 2 posts, one offering to sell something and one offering to buy something.

IN addition to that the e-mail he gave me did not have the same SN, so i chopped the @aol off and came up with a guy on a Nissan forum with many posts out of rhode island (or somewhere around there).

Sounds like y'all need to clarify the exact amount. From what I read in your post, you asked for a specific amount shipped and he offered to pay $40 more and shipping?

yeah he is the one selling the items and i am the buyer, he is asking 40 more than my original offer.
