I was impressed at my wave factor from JK's in Chicagoland this weekend (JKWF), it was nice out and I had the top off, think one of the 15 or so JK's I passed didn't wave! Maybe the word is out! The one that didn't wave looked like yuppie too! I had a house wife with kids in the JK wave too, I must say I am impressed with the JKWF!

i got a wave from a JK yesterday .. it made my day, lol .. funny thing is, i passed probably 25 jeeps yesterday with my top down and doors off, and only got a wave from 4 .. 3 tj's and a 4 door jk. now i guess i need to add in the fact that i was in gatlinburg and pigeon forge, so most of the people were tourists that weren't paying attention to the road and were just looking off at the scenery, and i think that i also need to add that the jk was right behind a tj that waved, so take it for what it's worth. it could've been someone that saw 2 jeeps wave to each other and wanted to be "in the cool jeep crowd" lol, or it couldve been someone who was a real jeeper and had just felt the need to buy a brand new one. either case, i thought it was noteworthy.

Well I own a JK and will wave at all jeeps, but i have grown up with jeeps. I have owned 2 CJ-7s, a CJ-5 and a TJ, so I know the tradition

I wave at any Jeep that looks like it modified or off-roaded and most wave back. Yesterday I waved a real nice Honcho stepside with an older gentleman at the wheel who returned the wave. Gotta love the classics.

gravitytester, the 2 door JK's wave just like every other jeep, it's the JK-Minivans that dont normally wave back.

Crossposting but I don't care...

As someone who owns a TJ AND a JK all you haters can suck it.

I wave at all CJ, YJ, TJ and JK's and I've gotten returns from 95%. Don't wave to the cherokees because they don't wave to me (I know, poor excuse).

My JK is a two door for the very reason that I wanted a more "Jeep" looking Jeep. To me the 4DR JK's look like H3's, but to each their own. I've been trying to sell my TJ for about a week, but am leaning towards keeping it, but don't tell the wife.

Also, now that I own the JK (previous car was a 300C lease) it will be anything but stock, but it isn't going to happen overnight. ****, the JK model has been out for 2 years, the TJ for 12, not a fair comparison to number of mods and owners.

Plus, as someone said in another post, just because we're Jeep owners doesn't mean we can't like to be comfortable, have a decent sound system and occasionally clean the damn thing.

Anway, lighten up and wave.

An XJ with a brush guard pulled next to me on the highway and I looked over and nodded a little but didn't wave. The guy looked kind of angry. The he accelerated away and I saw the Confederate flag on his rear window. I don't think there is going to be any waving between General Lee and a me with an Obama 08 sticker.

I wave at the old FJ40's and they're always good about it too.

Is a JK really a Jeep? I'm just sayin'....

It's funny to see you Wrangler guys talking about waving to each other. I've never once had any type of Wrangler wave back. 99% of all Wranglers I pass (YJ, TJ, JK, whatever), are the same type of driver the OP made fun of that buys JKs - someone who thinks they just 'look cool' and aren't real Jeepers. XJs and ZJs on the other hand, well they still don't wave, but at least almost half of them around here are modified and dirty - driven by real Jeepers.

I wave from my comfortable leather seats and in Air conditioning.
I get a fair amount of waves, comments, and questions on most of the steel
surrounding my heep.

You should always initate the wave to any cj, yj, because they are older and think they deserve more respect. Some of the xj's with mods wave however but I don't wave at stock ones.
it seems that over here most of the city tractors don't wave back whatever type of jeep it is.

I have a Commander and wave to all jeeps ,especially the ones with the yummy mummies in you get some strange looks but never a wave back.
