Dirt bikes

Wasn't really sure which forum to post this on. So I guess this is the one. I'm new to dirt bikes. I am currently trying to find a decent dirt bike to mess around on.
I'm 6'1"
180 pounds
Semi-experienced
I can do my own work, meaning I'm too stubborn/broke to pay someone else to do it.
What bikes are durable and reliable? Also if the parts for them are cheap that would be awesome.

Honda? I'm not huge on the brand, it's an undeserved hatred. But I had to drive a Honda crv for a year and it created a burning passion of hatred. I'll look into them still and if I can find any within my price range I'll go for it.

I bought a 97 Honda CR250 2 stroke in 2005 off Ebay. It's the best money I have ever spent. You can have fun on any brand, just keep an eye on Ebay and Craigslist for a good deal. I would recommend a 2 stroke for simplicity reasons. Let the debating begin!

Older Honda, like an XR200 is a good starter bike. Light and inexpensive enough, and there's parts out there too.

What about the rm250 above? That's my favorite so far from just looking at it and googling it

Those RM250's make somewhere around 50hp and are explosive on power delivery. Ever ridden a 2 stroke before?

If I had a place to ride, I'd have a KDX 200. Best bike I've ever ridden. I drove that thing into the ground and it didn't know the meaning of the word 'quit'.
