Deer hunting in Wisconsin

Hey! aren't you susposed to shoot the deer?

And how - if there are 6 hunters, all with guns, do they all get shot by one man.

Team work guys - team work.

Very sad but very stupid-

the shooter was some weird foreign person who does not beleive in 'private land'. he was asked to get out of the tree stand because it was someone elses, so he just shot him. then he just started picking off the other hunters as they were coming out of their cabin to go in the woods. noone knew what was going on probably, just thought they were shooting deer maybe. its sad, i think the total deaths was 6, including a father/son and a woman

From what I heard, there was radio contact between some of the hunters that knew what was going on, and the guy doing the shooting was an asian man carrying an SKS.
Not too hard to pick that guy out of a crowd, or woods in this case. And the only reason he stopped shooting people was because he was out of ammo. I want to know how he got out alive. Honest officer, he pointed his weapon at me, I just got my shot off first.
I agree, teamwork was lacking in the woods.

True - the first two were shot - radio contact was made to the cabin and they
were advised of the situation - they came (knowing there was a sniper) and
walked into it.

I'd have come around the back way and looked for the guy! Just can't see how he shot all of them - and they had guns too!

I am about 2 hours away from where it happened. The initial reports (news media) were that the shooter couldn't read or speak english. However he has been in the US for 20 plus years. He also pulled a gun on his wife but charges were dropped, and he also violated some fishing laws.

The first victim confronted the tresspasser (signs were posted) and then it gets sketchy because the stories vary and the dead don't talk. The first victim called on a 2-way radio to the hunting shack to say that he was shot. The rest of the hunting party came to his aid and then were shot.

The cops only found one deer rifle and is assumed to be the first victim. The media is saying that some of the victims have multiple gun wounds.

The shooter is saying that they were making racial remarks and that he was shot at first. The shooter was wearing a reversible camo/blaze jacket and when apprehended he had it inside out so the camo was on the outside.

This is very sad.

I think there's more to it than that. It really sounds to me like this guy went into the woods with the specific intention of shooting PEOPLE, not deer!

I don't think that's how it was. he trespassed and found a hunting platform. then 2 rightful hunters showed up. words where exchanged (racial). nobody wants to admit they fired the first shot.

the Hmongnese (that's where he's from) does admit that he went after one of the hunters that showed up after and shot him in the back, only to realise that the guy wasn't armed

really sad and stupid

In the beginning the media was pressing the "assault rifle" agenda because it was an SKS with a 20 round clip. Whether it was a shotgun, deer rifle (4 shell clip), 30-30 with 9 shells it really doesn't matter what was used. He killed 6 people.

Man, this guy is screwed. Six counts of murder AND exceeding the bag limit.
Don't forget, he also "violated some fishing laws".

From what I know, there seems to be a lot of trouble with Hmongs adhering to hunting/fishing laws. He was busted for having 93 Crappie over the limit.

fishing laws are stupid. so what if my bass isn't big enough, I should be able to take it home and fry it up anyway.
