Dealin' with Bogus Salemen.

Well, the auction for my set of tires ended August 6th. I thought I was gettin' a steal. Set of four 31X10.50 BFG Mud Terrains *with* the black steel wheels. Shipping was about 150$ but still too good a deal to pass up. Well, he had his money order in hand for my stuff two days later. Here it is now, August 26th, and I am just now finally getting my tires. I had to lay into the bastard just to get them now, constantly making up some excuse. Anyway, the wheels were painted green (which looks horrible on a red jeep) so I painted them black and cleaned the wheels up. Had to pick the little brother up from football practice before I put them on. I was so happy that I didn't even think to check the bolt pattern on the wheels. Anyway, I get home and find out they don't fit. I am pissed!! The guy lied to me and told me that these tires and wheels came off a jeep before mine and were put into storage. Anyway, I transfered them over to my normal wheels, but I really wanted the black wheels. I know they are inexpensive, but still. Needless to say, he is hearin' about this right now, but I know there isn't anything I can do about it. Just goin' to give him a horrible review and tell everyone I know to stay away from bargains@theauction-world.com (bargains@theauction-world.com) on ebay. I can't believe how bad he screwed me over. I love the 31"s already and I just have had them on for the night, all I need to do is adjust the steering stops so they don't rub (hey 'drack, could you possibly give me that link you have if you still have it handy, please). I am just goin' to sell the wheels he gave me and hopefully get my money's worth out of them. I'll give the information here in case anyone wants them. They are Cragar SPR Spoke CRM 15X8 5X5.5- 19 Date Product 010396. I have no idea about what most of that means, but I just figured I'd put down everything written on the wheel.

So in conclusion, hopefully I can get enough money out of sellin' those wheels to cover getting the ones I actually wanted. I also learned a valuable lesson, avoid shipping tires.

Lookin' forward to testin' out my new tires,
Jimi Hendrix

P.S. Avoid bargains@theauction-world.com (bargains@theauction-world.com)
