In dash - GPS System for TJ's

Does any one have one of these in their Jeep?
Do they work well, what I mean is are they worth it!

The one I am talking about replaces the radio/cd in dash.

Thanks for the help.

Rob

chek out the Garmin 2720. I've had many GPS units over the years and I love this one. I'd also suggest a RAM mounting system since they are way better than the crap Garmin gives you.

Rb1

Best upgrade I've done to my Rubicon as of yet is the RB1 upgrade. I have the special cable that displays the Sirius song title info and also the IPod adaptor. I leave the IPod in my glove box and I never need to touch it. All controls are integrated into the stereo. And like the other post stated I'm not really worried about having it stolen.

I would not want that in my jeep. Just says to me ... "Cut open my soft top" I plan on getting a little portable job so we can swap it between cars.

I agree. Too risky.

I PM'd you about this with no response. Did you need to do anything special in order to make this install happen? With the RB1, sirius and the song title/artist setup, it seems to me that I will need something extra if I want to do the ipod installation also. Looks like the ipod has its own multiplexer or something.. Any insight?

That is why I decided on a Tuffy console/to keep thieves away.

RB1 = My favorite mod... with the iPod adapter. I love the factory look and am not affraid to take the top off my jeep. It just works plain slick.
