creating a signature

I'm relatively new and went to add a signature to automatically show on my posts but my profile doesn't have a way for me to do so.

I can edit and add some areas in my profile but not a signature.

I couldn't find a sub-forum for forum-technical questions so am posting my question here.

Thanks,

John

Click the drop down arrow next to My Account in the top right of your browser window and select Edit Signature. You'll be able to add text but since you aren't a paying member, you won't be able to make it 'fancy' with links, quotes, etc.

please dont fill it with specs on your rig, it just clutters up the search feature and thats what the profile is for.

Cool, thanks.

Interesting that the drop down allows that but if I go to view my profile it doesn't have an 'edit' button for the signature area - even though it has edit buttons for most of the components of profile.

If you click on My Account, on the left you'll see Edit Signature as well.
