why not just parachute down.... honestly seems safer than making that treacherous descent back down...

I thought about that too, but theres always the chance that a gust of wind or something could blow you back into the tower or one of the nearby ones. I guess.

Didn't even realize it until someone said it, my palms and feet are sweaty after watching that. I love the adrenaline rush from rock climbing but I got a rush just watching that video. I couldn't imagine doing that without harnesses. It looks incredible though, I might try if I was harnessed the whole way, but my heart would probably go absolutely bonkers.

From what I've been told, they start at $70k. The guys shown make between $115,000-$130,000. Not bad at all, but still not enough IMO....

As I've learned climbing fire towers in the Adirondacs ... it isn't going up that is the problem, it is going down. Every time I go up a fire tower I am fine on the way up. On the way down I look and I'm done.

My hands are sweaty as well, I would definitely never do that. Skydiving sure but climbing... fffffffffffffff that.

I all can say is WTF! I was getting spooked before he headed to the outside of the tower. My palms went sweaty too.

How many days a week do they climb though? If I could make $130k a year to do that 2 days a week, then damn...
