Is it bad to think WWIII would save America?

I thought I heard that the actual photographer of that picture never left Iwo. Something about being caught trying to help clear a tunnel and being buried in the ruins of it.

WWIII or anything that could keep the ENTIRE country moving in one direction for longer then a sound bite would be good for the country.
I'd prefer something with a little less bloodshed but unfortunately success and prosperity always follow a massive reduction in population whether by war or natural causes. Those that are left have a common basis to start from, an increased need to innovate to make up for lost resources and an increased opportunity because of less competition.

Exactly. It would also turn us into a production country instead of a consumer state just like in WWII and make people realize they aren't entitled to easy work or welfare consumption.
