I saw that thing at the So Cal Motorsports Expo in San Diego a few months ago, it was nice but way over priced! That is a toy for the rich.

Great site to read about and review Jeep related products.

Overpriced? I think not (sarcastic). You can get 35's on that thing. That's bigger than what I've got on my Jeep. I love it! Not going to buy it though (too poor).

So it's essentially a tent off of the ground?

I wouldn't pull that thing around for the sake of sleeping off of the ground. I owned a pop-up camper and when I woke up in the morning it was still damp, just like a tent, so I bought a travel trailer.

The way I see it, if I wanted to have the tent feeling, I would just sleep in a tent.

Thanks for sharing the link though, it's an interesting concept.

If you want to sleep off the ground check this out. http://www.tentcot.com/ You can do so at a substantial savings. I have searched this tentcot on the internet for reviews and everyone seems to like it. I'm going to buy one. I actually found this because Big Waylon has one and posted a link in the camping thread (that nobody goes to).

^^^^^I saw some como weinies with those in the field once. I called them bad names and ridiculed them, but on the inside I was jealous. They looked pretty comfortable.

U.S.MarineLJ, that's a pretty cool setup that they offer there, but I like how they have a chair-force guy in their "military" pictures. C'mon now, we all know that they stay in hotels when they're deployed

I've had one for 3 years. I use it when I camp on the trail. Love it.

For times that we camp at the trail head, I am building a teardrop trailer.

2007, 4 door, powered by a minivan engine, locked and riding on 35's.

That tentcot is high speed low drag! It will reduce setup and breakdown time. Plus you don't have to worry about sleeping on a rock as is always the case. It also seems that when I'm going camping with a group the leader typically pics a spot where there is some sort of slight grade. I suspect with the tentcot the grade issue would not be such an issue. When I wake up in the middle of the night after sleeping on a grade it seems as though I have slid to towards the downward side of the tent. I sleep on my side even with an air mattress between my body and the earth and it is kind of hard on the hip, with the tent cot it would make for a pretty comfortable sleep. Now that I see Igofshn has the tent cot and is pleased there is not a doubt in my mind I will purchasing it.
