Connecticut school shooting

I cannot imagine my child going through this. This is extremely sad and I hope the *** wipe(s) (one shooter dead already) that did this die a very slow and painful death.

It is a very cowardly thing to do. One of my kids' elementary school teachers casually mentioned last week that they'd heard rumors of shootings possibly taking place at elementary schools. I'm a ways from there, so I don't know the correlation, if there is one.

The shooter went in and killed his mother there aswell. Is this worth having guns?

It would have been worth it if one of the teachers was legally allowed to concele one.

Are you kidding? Guns arent the problem. You cant legislate crazy.

In other news this is unthinkable and words can not describe it.

I agree, a principal or a superintendent with practice and knowledge.

They havent released what type of gun he used but what if it is a high power auto/semi auto rifle? They havent released if it was his gun or not.

It happened in Oregon a couple of days ago. I think we need to admit that we have a problem.

It's been known for hours; 9mm Glock and a Sig Sauer. Also a .223 Bushmaster but not confirmed if it was used (left in vehicle.) And they were all bought legally, or at least that's the preliminary report.

We have to be reminded that the USA is not the sole domain of school shootings. They get very brief press here but there are school shootings in countries that have very long histories of extremely strict gun laws. One thing all bullies have in common, they like to pick on the defenseless ones that are easily defeated. And they understand only one thing: unhesitant retaliation in kind with equal or greater force.

Tired of the argument when a tragedy happens, somebody is supposed to have a concealed weapon. Thats not the point. Im not against guns in anyway and looking to get some myself, but cmon.

Im 21 and pretty pissed off/upset.

But we live in the USA. We are here and something has to change.
