Computer problem???

Can anyone maybe help me out on a problem I am having with my e-mail/web ?

I cannot open any attachments from my e-mails. Not links to JF on subscribed threads, Not Ebay notices, no links at all. When I click them it just will not open them up..

any suggestions? If you need to ask me questions about my system, PLEASE use the Dumb @ss terminology so I can understand what you need to know..

What service do you use for email? Also, are you talking attachments or links in the email?

Try and open one of the attatchment. Do you get a banner at the top or bottom of the screen saying that Firefox or IE "wont let you open this pop up".....

If you see that, click it and chose to let your browser open the file.

I ment what service.. like AOL, MSN, etc... but close enough I guess..

Outlook Express with the latest service packs has an option to prevent you from being able to open links contained in emails until they are put on your 'safe senders' list. In the options for the program there is an option to turn this off if you wish.

Yep, the new Outlook is blocking your attachements. It's actually defaulted that way now. I have the info on exactly what you need to do on my thumb drive that I cant find at the moment. I'll post it up in a couple hours.
