The Bama/TA&M game was great. Penalties killed us though.

Also, in typical Purdue football fashion, we blew the lead in the 4th and gave those damn Irish a win. I do see a slight glimmer of hope in Purdue's new head coach though.

And did anyone see the end of the Wisconsin/ASU game? I just saw it blowing up on my facebook and found it on Youtube already...

Don't really know what to make of it since I didn't see the game...

Since Georgia was off I watched the Vols get pounded by Oregon and followed up on the Bama-A&M game. I was surprised that Tennessee got the first score and that A&M was up by 14 but then things started to come back to normal.

I was also hoping that Vandy could get South Carolina but it wasn't happening.

I think Oregon was trying to give the vols hope.

I actually caught that yesterday. I was trying to read some Wordsworth and my roommate came in and turned on some football.
From what I can recall, everybody was just really, really confused about what was happening. The QB wanted to down the ball in the middle of the field for a FG attempt, but just set it down instead of going down on a knee, so the clock kept running. Then an ASU player jumped on it? Then the refs gave the ball to Wisconsin's offensive line and then the clock ran out and Wordsworth decided to not make a fuss on the difference between prose and poetry which seemed rather silly to me given his constant use of the word "metrical" to describe his own writings.

"You're out of your mind."
"That's between me and my mind."

He was trying to center the ball for a FG try and then bumped into his left guard when he was trying to take a knee, so maybe it didn't actually touch the ground (might have been on the guard's foot?) In that case, it should have been ASU's ball and a victory formation anyway.

Tough to tell from that vid though.

Looks like I might be the first Hook 'Em in this thread.

I'm also tired of seeing OU kick the living bejeezus out of UT every year, but after seeing them play ND it's probably going to happen again....at least this time maybe Mack will get the Lane Kiffin treatment. And no, this isn't a "this year" thing. This is a before the '05 national championship game thing for me. Since that game the coaching ineptitude has been so obvious it's almost painful for a UT fan.
