Clearcut forest "wheeling" pix

So this is the first time I've ever taken my jeep off the pavement - it was last weekend before the whole bent output shaft fiasco..
not hardcore by any means, but I got a little dirty - and I even got my fiancee to go with me, and she thought it was pretty cool.
If anyone knows where Birchwood Wisconsin is, they are clearcutting tons of the birch forests on the north side of County D between Long Lake and Birchwood. I haven't found out yet, but I'm looking into it..as beautiful forestland was destroyed for some reason. It's really sad too..like someone came in with a big machete and just took the forest out, leaving nothing but small branches and muddy roads.
I guess these are my first official jeep pictures on the board as well - enjoy.

Thank you very much - I'd have been driving it today if it wasn't for a bad rear axle seal. Everything else went together alright tho..after two tries. Live and learn I guess.
now it's time to wait yet ANOTHER day for parts..

Pinion seal comes today..and the Des Plaines River has flooded some areas. Time to explore some flooded roads as long as they aren't too deep..
Anyone else ever seen a clearcut forest before? i think its hideous. No one's talking about who's responsible..

You can't rely on anything SBC controls..they are akin to Micro$oft.

There is no way that girl is from WI. I used to go there all the time. The woman there are hard to tell apart from the cattle. State was even recognized as having the fatest woman in the us per capa.

Where does the des plaines river cross the border? I had no clue it was that big. I grew up in rosemont rite next to des planes.

As for the forest destruction, I see it everday. Come to flordia. Used to be swamp land filled with tree's. They learned you can put in fill dirt and build it up. So much for the wetlands, they are cutting the stuff down miles a day.

I'm working on a jeep buddy..a friend of mine drove my jeep last week and now he wants one. Here's hoping!
I got some more pix of clearcutting this weekend, but haven't posted them yet. Also some cool lakes and stuff not accessible by road (only by jeep). Now i need to find a way to haul a canoe so I can fish!
