Chrysler doomed?

Here's a link to a story on foxnews.com about what some analysts are saying. Basically, they think Chrysler is a done company. The most shocking thing to me was that toyota sold more camrys than all chrysler passenger cars combined.

maybe i should sell my car and my 03 rubi and buy a new 4 door rubi now....

I've thought so for some time. I LOVE my MOPAR's far more than any other cars I've ever owned, but their days are number.

This bailout for them is nothing more than wasted money by putting a corpse on life support.

As long as the JEEP name stays along and they don't do something stupid like make a Hummer crossover, I'll continue to own Jeeps. Right now I want to get a Rubicon and Diesel WK in the next 3-4 years and see what happens after that.

Idiots have to have something to say. If Chrysler was about to be over would VW have approached them to build a minivan for them? Would Nissan had approached them to build the replacement for the Titan pickup? Chrysler has lots of things coming soon. They are trying to fix all the bad things that 10 years of Daimler did to them. But somehow reporters and analysts think long term development of manufactured products can change as fast as they can write a stupid article.

So tell me where MOPAR is getting a loan?

Thats right no banks would give them one as their business plan and products are not going to save them.

They need to die. Sell off what is salvageable, ie Jeep and the minivans, let the rest go bye bye.

I'd bet that all of those deals came well before the recent sales drops and even the ideas of a bailout. And they stand in an excellent position if/when Chrysler DOES fail-namely, they can pick up those divisions for pennies on the dollar.

Crystler will probably fail and declare bankruptcy followed by GM. It does not mean an end to the companies which will continue to exist after a real restructuring not the dog and pony show they put on to get their loans. Anyone remember when Kmart went bankrupt and two weeks later their were stores back up everywhere? Everyone get ready for Big Crystler and Big GM.

Most of the reports seem to think they will cease to be a stand alone company. They will probably be bought by someone or sold off in pieces to various other makers. I really hope they can keep it together but it look worse by the day.
