Do you guys think cheating is ever justified?

I found something out the hard way and she is trying to justify it, but she really shouldnt hold her breath

I'm curious whether it's fair to blame/beat the crap out of the third party. IMO, I can't always justify blaming the guy(third party). A lot of times he's in the dark about their being a man at home. Not always though, and in that case *** beatings are called for. Although I will admit, I have been that guy.

no...if you feel like cheating...at least have the balls to break up with the person first...

cheating is the second worse thing you can do to a person (first being physical/emotional abuse).

^^^ I agree. I don't think you should find the guy and beat his ***, but you should definitely get rid of her as quickly as possible. Don't even listen to anything she has to say because she has already proved to you that she doesn't have any respect for you...so why give it to her?

Having been in that situation I feel it's never justified. Once your SO cheats on you it's over. As far as I'm concerned you can never really trust them again. And if you can't trust someone how can you have a relationship with them?

As far as I'm concerned the cheater is dead to me. If they get hit by a bus I wouldn't be upset. And I don't put the blame on the other person. Sure you can say "he knew she was with someone so he's just as guilty" but the truth is that it was her call. She's the one in the relationship so she's the one who cheated.

Or vice-versa if you're female.

What could the justification be? some root problem with the relationship? well if there is such a significant root problem, end the relationship or fix the problem. I'd be interested in hearing what, if anything, people claim as justification.
