Cheapest way to fly?

I go to school in buffalo. I am trying to plan my spring break(second week of march) so i can visit my GF who is studying abroad in spain. I have been using kayak and i could get to dublin for 630 and to spain for 100. both round trip. so total 730 which isnt bad. I have only been on one plane before and have never been to Europe. I was wondering if there is any secrets to getting to europe for even cheaper.

i dont mind transfers, red eyes, etc... just trying to fly for as cheap as possible.

I sure need to have me another whineken

That's a damn good price to get over there and back actually, I know when I travel over there for work is normally 3-5 times that cost.

730 to spain is a pretty good deal. i dont know if you will find anything too much cheaper than that.

BTW i did the same thing when my g/f (now wife) was in spain studying abroad.

good luck, have fun. if your in Madrid try going to a bull fight. neat experience. the cave bars are awesome too

If you're going thru a booking site like Kyak, Expedia, ect. make sure that they allow you enough time between connecting flights.

Well my girlfriend lives in Montreal(finishing up her Masters) so I have spent a fair bit of time on planes and booking flights. My advice is seeing that you know when you are going figure out what the average price is and what a decent deal is. For me average flight to Montreal is about $620(round trip) and with average seat sales I can usually get a flights for around $550. So what I do is knowing those two numbers as far in advance as possible I start looking at flights and wait till I can get the flight for the cheapest possible value. My next flight out cost me $500 and if I would have been more on the ball (hadn't paid my credit card off from Christmas yet) I could have got a ticket for $440. In my experience flights start to go up and stay up when you get within 3 weeks of the flight.
