Cartoons

I've been trying to figure this out and it's driving me crazy (short trip).

Does anyone remember a cartoon from probably at least 25 years ago with 2 squirrels or chipmunks who spoke with an accent and were very polite....always complimented eachother and said "thank yop"

The one cartoon I remember is when they were living in a tree and the tree was cut down and made in to a chest of drawers and moved into a house and they continued to gather nuts and funnel them into the chest of drawers through the windows.

Does anyone remember their names?

No it wasn't them. I don't think it was Disney because as I recall Elmer Fudd and or Daffy Duck was the owner of the house that I mentioned earlier.
