I saw a flying car 3 yrs ago at the NY auto show.
This was more of a carlike helicopter.

Talking about a roadable flying car... Certification is almost complete from the FAA.

This is obviously way more awesome, but you will never get it in civilian production. Hard enough to get planes certified, let alone a carplane that uses quadrotor (or octorotor as the case may be) technology.
