Canadian Bacon Poll.....Bacon or Ham?

Is it Bacon or Ham? What do you think?

THIS IS A MEAT DISCUSSION

Since my thread sparked some heated debate ie US vs. Canada I thought that I'd try to alleviate some of that nonsense from it.

Allright, flame suit all on, begin.

Canadian bacon always perplexed me. It looks like ham. Kinda tastes like ham. By definiton, it ain't bacon. Bacon comes from pork bellies, backs and sides. It ain't ham. Ham comes from the thighs. Candian bacon is from the loin. You woulda figured that they coulda come up with something a name. What's next Canadian Spam?

I missed your Canada vs. US thread. I don't know which side you stand on, but what does Canada give us anyway besides some coins that you get stuck with that nobody wants? Yeah, I know they made YJs, but they have been fuked up since the beginning.

How so? Canadians leave American's alone and American's leave Canadians alone. Being neighbors, the two countries hardly even speak to each other. The last time I heard of the two countries speaking together, Bush was alleviating some of the softwood lumber tariffs allowing more Canadian lumber to enter the US; which is good for both sides.

In any event, it's ham.

It's Ham. Another way that canadians think they're being creative so they can feel better about themselves...

I have a hard time coming up with good reasons for canada.... and I've only come up with the following...

1. They gave us hockey... that by itself is why I feel they can stick around for a while...

2. Harvey's... ummm....

3. I know there is another, but I can't think of it...

(Before I get flamed... I love Canada, don't give me wrong... but it's still fun to make fun of them)

Basketball. Invented in the ol' US of A by a Canadian.

All the Austin Powers movies. Mike Myers is Canadian.

One of the only reasons to watch Baywatch. Pam Anderson is Canadian.

Jim Carey. Well maybe that isnt such a great example. Pet Detective was pretty awesome.

Although hes pretty wierd Tom Green can be pretty funny.

Shania Twain is pretty nice to look at and shes Canadian.

Im sure theres more, Ill come back when I think of more

Ham or bacon? Why do I have to pick? I like a good ham samich with bacon in it too. My daily intake of pig food is like this. Bacon egg samich for breakfast, ham samich for lunch, pork roast for din din. I think I am going to die young for some reason.

And Canada is great. They make some awesome beer up there. And you can buy liquor and prescription drugs cheap up there too. And Windsor has some awesome strip clubs. And U.S. money is worth so much more up there. Did I mention that I will probably die young?

I read somewhere that something like 90% of the Canadian population lives within 1 or 2 hours from the U.S. border...what does that say?

Oh, I only wish... actually right now it's horrible. I think the exchange rate is only like 31%. That's aweful. I miss the 50-some percent from the summer.... that's when i REALLY liked Canada.

I did of another reason why I love Canada... Duty-Free

If it looks like ham, smells like ham, feels like ham and tastes like ham then it must be....bacon? I think not...it's ham.

It's true that Canada gave us Hockey, along with Jim Carrey , Mike Myers, Pam Anderson and Shania Twain....but they also gave us Bryan Adams, William Shatner and Celine Dion....need I say more?

Yeah, but they are just a group of border jumpers that had to come to the US to make it big. Less than 10 outta 31 million is hardly a great contribution.

HAHAHAHA, now that's funny!

But I have a feeling that soon our little friends from up north will spy this thread and then all Hell's gonna break loose. But I am more than willing to continue the Canadian involvement (errr, should I say non-involvement) in Iraq if that is what's on the agenda.

Oh, yeah and it's definately HAM!!!
