If you like it then go for it, To each their own. I have never been on one but I would be all for trying it as I have also been riding bikes for years.

That thing is AWESOME! But not for $34K.
If they priced it at $15K, with a trailer, it would be worth considering.

Have you driven a Ural? They are tempermental, extremely low geared and horrible on the road at anything approaching highway speed.

Are those 2013, or 2012?
I think the green looks pretty sweet.

Kind of an old thread but I would like to add a comment. A friend of mine owns one and when we got together last May over in the Texas hill country, I rode it. I thought it was an awesome machine. Very safe. Has features that will not allow the back end ro slide out in curves. You can hardly do a burn out on it because of the safety features. Damn fast to. It takes some getting used to in the corners but once you've mastered it, you can fly through them almost as quick as a cruiser. Plus it has a front trunk which doubled as a beer cooler.
With that said, it's not everyones cup of tea. I'd own one but just as a toy, not my DD. My wife wants one and I'd love to put her on one. My friend got the same respect feom other bikers that I did on my HD, except maybe for the stuck ups that feel HD's are the only bike that should be on the road.
If you like it, buy it. You're the one riding it, no one else. Like someone else said, there are many reasons people ride can ams or trikes. A buddy of mine had to give up riding all together at the young age of 43 because his hips are bad and straddling the seat was to painful.
Do what you feel is best and what you feel comfortable on. Keep the wind in your hair and the rubber side down.
Spoken from a "real" biker. I ride year round, rain, shine, cold or hot. It doesn't matter to me what you ride, as long as you ride. If you have a ninja 250 or a HD ultra, come ride with me.

June of 2011, I rode from Houston Tx, to Watkins Glen, NY. I met up with a group of friends. One of them rode his Ural up from Virginia. You're right about the highway speeds. I don't think he went over 45mph, the entire time we were in NY. Cool as hell though.

I went to a grand opening of a bike dealership last week & a Spyder club was there. They all had very nice looking spyders. Also, they had a few brand new ones (none were under 20 grand). They were pretty cool though.

Craigslist is your best bet. I've seen them as low as $13k here in Houston. Plus, you can find them already modded with aftermarket exhaust and seat.
