Its ugly and a real biker will laugh at you to your face if he sees you on it. Its for people that lack the proper skill and or intelligence to ride an actual motorcycle.

What is a Real Biker? I have two HD's 2000 FXST, 07 FLHX, does that make me a REAL BIKER? most Real Bikers i see go from one dealership to another getting their free dogs/burgers and riding in "group" rides.
I don't know what a real biker is.........

If you already own two real motorcycles, why would you want an ugly thing that's aimed at people that cannot ride an actual motorcycle?
Oh, and I would consider a real biker to be someone that rides because they enjoy it, like a Jeeper, they own a jeep because they enjoy it.

Why does the Spyder have to be ridden by a real biker. As you said the Jeeper owns a Jeep because they enjoy it why not own a Spyder because you own it. Buy it for what it is, a backwards trike. and have fun on it.

I think the Can-Am serve a purpose to the right buyer, if you thought it was fun and can afford it then why not?
I got my end't the day I turned 16 (22 now) and have had a Honda 599, CBR, 990 SM, and my current Thruxton. Not much, but probably about 30k between them not including all the dirtbikes hours. There is no such thing as a "real biker," you have the 1%er's who think they are, the ADV guys who think they are, the squids/stunters who think they are, the BMW/Duc crowd who think they are, and all the other sub groups. Everyone is happy in their own mind so just let it be. I would pull over to help any of the above if they were on the side of the road. Sadly I am currently working abroad and riding the train to work so no bikes for me. My arrows should be waiting for me when I go home though...

I can assure you the "real biker" I know who rides a spyder due to injuries from Vietnam would more then likely wipe the floor with you. If I didn't first.

I've contemplated a spyder myself due to leg injuries sustained overseas. It would be a safer way to get on a sort of bike

Ok, you did get me there. I wasn't thinking about those with physical disabilities.

I don't mean to get you as you say and I don't want to be an Internet "tough guy" either. It is simply a very emotional subject for a lot of people. We live and learn.

In my opinion it is way overpriced.
I don't believe they hold their value like a Harley for example.
Might as well buy a subcompact car or Smart For Two.

I have also thought about that except that it is all open and it is fun to ride per my demo ride, and as far as the value goes i don't of many bikes that hold their value anymore, my 2000 FXST probably has 30K in it and I would be lucky to get 5-7K out of it if i would want to sell, i guess i am mainly wondering is...is it reliable? issues? other than gold/ammo/guns it seems nothing holds it's value.

A bike is defined as something with two wheels.
I would not call you a biker if you're riding a Can-Am, more like a Triker. I personally wouldn't ride one, but then again, i don't have any disabilities limiting me from riding a two wheeled motorcycle. I just don't think it's a motorcycle. Just my two cents.
