Built Not Bought

In Dos Equis lingo... We are an elite group of Jeepers who can build an offroad machine with our bare hands. Mommy did not buy our Jeep & lift & pay to have it installed. We do not take our heeps to the shop to get repaired.... period (unless transmission related ). We can take a hunk of metal and turn it into a diamond. We are... the most interesting Jeepers in the world.

you act like mom or dad helping to buy the jeep is a bad thing. My rents took out a loan to get it. My dad helps pay for my monthly payments because of job issues but i still contribute...does that make me less of a "jeeper"?

anyways...looks like a cool group i cant join though...cuz i have my mechanic help me out with repairs

sorry if i seemed like a ******bag.

So how would you like me to revise the club message so you can fit in ?

No ... i do not think that makes you less of a "jeeper". I am sure you are a hell of a guy who could always join the club anyway.

So tell me what is built?
If a guy was to buy a Rubicon and put a lift and 35 inch tires on it would it be built?

Now that ^^ sounds like poll material to me. I would say hell no.

Now yours on the other hand is built.

Sounds like I better get a solid definition of "Built Not Bought" wrote up here pretty damn quick.

How does a ZJ with a small lift and tires classify as "built"? You bought the jeep, bought the lift, bought the trackbar, probably bought the steering.....'

Let me revise what I'm saying. I'm not trying to be a ****, but in reality "built" is building your own parts. Bumpers, steering, control arms, skid plates, tube chassis, roll bars, etc. Don't get me wrong, building your own tube steps is nothing to scoff at. I couldn't do it my first shot, but a lot of people ( pirate 4x4) won't see a ZJ with a lift as "built"

LOL @ ZJ1's ... You are taking this a bit to literal. Maybe I should name the club "Dos Equis"

I sense a bit of jealousy in your tone. First off wtf are tube steps ? I never said I was king fabricator .... but I do design my own work and yes I can actually weld pretty damn good. I frequent Pirate as well.... I was trying to get a club started with people that do all of there own work including fabrication etc... so we could all BS and so forth and go over ideas.

I joined just for you Jeff. I'll go hide in the corner though since I didn't build everything on my jeep.
