Build a Teardrop trailer?

They're pretty much a small camper w/ just a bed/shelves/lighting/etc inside. The rear opens up into cooking area(outside). Sorry can't post pics. At work. This should probably go in the camping/rec section but I figured I'd get more hits here.I'm thinking of building one as a winter prodject. Anyone here have experience building one?

My father-in-law built one from scratch, just by looking at pictures. Turned out really well. I'll see if I can't get some pics from his build thread for ya.

I like teardrops for being easy to pull and a mini-all in one trailer, minus the bathroom of course. The thread below is about small camping trailers for Jeeps. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f68/small-campers-wranglers-520740/ One guy mentioned having a teardrop, and being able to stop wherever and sleep such as even in a Walmart parking lot, which try that with a popup! My only issue with a teardrop is I think you'd only be in it to sleep, although you can get a tent that attaches to one. Now my brother has a popup and with his family we've hung out in it a few times when it was raining all day, which was an advantage.

Also, here is a forum of guys that build teardrops.

Plus, these guys make really cool teardrops with a lot of options, but not cheap. They may give you some ideas. http://www.tinycamper.com/index.htm

You can build one fairly cheap. You start with a Harbor Freight Trailer and take it from there.

There are plans for sale all over Ebay for around 20 dollars.

I've been toying with the idea for a while. Places I go elk hunting aren't too camper friendly, so we end up a ways from where we could be. But on crappy days having a full size camper for 2 grown men is definitely the only way to not kill someone.
