One guy mentioned having a teardrop, and being able to stop wherever and sleep such as even in a Walmart parking lot, which try that with a popup! My only issue with a teardrop is I think you'd only be in it to sleep, although you can get a tent that attaches to one. Now my brother has a popup and with his family we've hung out in it a few times when it was raining all day
, which was an advantage.
