Breaking News - New Owners Of Badlands Offroad Park in Attica, Indiana....

Badlands Off Road Park Has New Owners

Breaking News!

Troy and Lisa Myers have sold the Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, Indiana.

The Badlands is one of the Midwest's premier four-wheeling, ATV and dirt bike destinations. It has also been home to Four Wheeler Magazine's Real Truck Club Challenge for three years. It was the Myers vision and drive that transformed the land from abandoned quarry operation to successful off-road vehicle park.

So who is the new owner? Well, it's a familiar face. Kyle Knosp, previous owner of Paragon Adventure Park in Pennsylvania will be assuming ownership April 1st. He and his wife Stephanie along with their two young children will be relocating to the Attica area very soon. Much like the Myers, Knosp's hard work transformed an old quarry operation into a successful off-road vehicle park, so he clearly knows his stuff.

We're told that the Myers will be a part of day-to-day operations for a few months as the transition takes place. More details on the impending change in ownership will be released in a couple of weeks, so we'll have more information on this developing story soon.

Badlands Off Road Park

As some of you may have already heard, we are starting a new endeavor with the Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, IN.

As that may seem to be a negative for our faithful customers who have been waiting patiently for us to open something in this area, it is actually better news than you may think for everyone.

Over the past year we have been working on deals with land owners while continuously searching for more land to use for our business. A few deals have come close only to fall through at the last minute and there are a many deals that we are still trying to work out. Even with our new endeavor, we will not abandon our possible dealings on the East Coast. Badlands Off Road will actually create smoother negotiations as we will have solid income and some more bargaining room. This is not only good for land dealings in our area, but on a national/regional level. Keep in mind, the more areas we can have a presence in, the better it is for you. There will be more areas and locations for you to enjoy your sport.

PA is still our home and it is where we started and we will not forget that. We love this area and moving to Indiana is very bittersweet for us. But we are extremely excited about starting our next adventure.

In Kyle’s speech at the closing of the Oak Ridge location, he made a statement that Paragon is more than just an address or location. We still live by those words every day. Please know that our family has contributed a significant personal and financial investment in this sport, in this area and in this region.

This has been a very long year for us and Troy & Lisa Myers are great. They have given us a very bright light at the end of our tunnel. We are very grateful to them for the opportunity they have given us which has enabled us to procure the Badlands without abandoning Paragon. Troy and Lisa are just like us. They have devoted their life to the sport and providing a top notch facility. They are just ready to move on to their next adventure as well. As we looked to Paragon as being our stepping stone to a larger plan, the Badlands will now be our launching point.

We understand why some of you may have some misgivings about the money and efforts you have put into saving Paragon. Please know that all those monies are still invested in the court system and none of it has gone toward the Badlands or anything else for that matter. Please understand that as you have donated your time and money to Paragon, we have contributed everything we have to Paragon. By no means are we walking away from our or your investment in this area.

Our legal battle for Paragon is far from over. In fact, we just had a court appearance last week. Unfortunately it takes time and money to fight these long battles. We have many more court battles ahead of us. Look at it this way, if we run out of money they win. That is what they have been trying to do all along.

There will be an official press release with more information to follow.

We appreciate all of your support!

Thank you!

Kyle & Stephanie

So there is no chance of the land being ripped from them. Excellent!

I spoke to Lori at the Badlands and told me this is true. Though, It is sad that Troy & Lisa will be gone but, they are still the owners of Mission Impossible in Attica. Kyle and Steph. has been having a hard time to get their park back for a couple of years and lost their battle to save their park they owned. Both Kyle & Steph. are young and they will run the Bandlands very well and Lori at the front desk will still be there to cheer everyone up when we all get there.

Lets wish Troy & Lisa our best wishes and also best wishes
Kyle & Steph for the new ownership of the Badlands.

Michael,
Club President

Read about this on my club site... Interesting news.
I just hope Badlands doesn't run into any problems under this new ownership and closes. I have nothing against the new owners, and from what I've heard Paragon was great, but the Badlands was also great the way it was, I hope they don't go changing the name or any rules or anything. Only time will tell, but like I said, hopefully the Badlands will still be here in 5 years.

Semi OT - Anyone know how much it sold for?

I really like that park, maybe one of their first orders of business could be a good trail map, the current one is lacking and is pretty much useless.

But congrats to the new owners

There's a trail map? I've been there dozens of times and have never noticed a map.

Started going there about four years ago and we found one, it was really bad and didn't help a bit. Now it's kind of a running joke that our kids could do better with a crayola. Not that we ever use it, but it would have been nice when we were new to the park.

Kyle and Steph are great. They're wheelers at heart. The only reason PAP went the way it did is the small-town, old boys club they were forced to face. I wouldnt be concerned about the park disappearing.

Don't hold your breath. As great as PAP was, the trail markings and maps were questionable at best IMO.
