I like my backstraps smoked, it gives em a totally different taste. Otherwise I'll butterfly em and slide some bacon and onions in em on the grill.

If your into fried foods (im southern, it comes natural) I like to cut my backstraps into about 1/2" slices and batter them in some flour and lawrys black pepper, with a touch of garlic salt and then flash fry them and you get tasty, crispy (what i like to call) deer nuggets!

Well, I couldn't find my 8, so I shot a 10 earlier today around 5 pm. Only ran about 15 yards and he dropped.

Here is one of my dad & niece.

^^^ That is an amazing Deer, Congrats to you too. Glad to see someone else had an awesome day . The only down side for me is the fact that I worked 11 hr over night last night , then when out hunting and now I am right back at work for another 12 hr shift till 630 am. Oh well! I am still High on the Hunt.

Thanks man. It has a 24 inch spread which i was very happy with. It ran down into this gully & of course I couldn't get the 4-wheeler down there so i just winched him up with the ATV haha.
