Still had some velvet on one of the tines so I did my first European mount, pain in the *** to do but turned out pretty nice.

No luck with the Bull Elk hunt yet but still got till the 7th and we are finally getting some snow so fingers are crossed.

Where did you get the wall mount from?

Here is a Deer Cam picture of the one I shot. Not a Record break by any means but still, a decent buck.

Bowhunting

Wow mid-October, our season has been open since mid-September.

Our household has 3 in the freezer already. My son and I each got a doe and he one upped me with a 4 point about 2 weeks ago.

Love to bowhunt it is a peaceful time of year when you don't freeze your a** off and there aren't that many people in the woods.

Good luck.

My buddy David's Deer from this past weekend. This is a decent South Carolina buck. Heavy horned 8 point at 180 pounds.

And here is my opening day little guy.

thats about the size of one I passed on right before I killed my deer. I told myself I wasn't gonna shoot anything that I wouldn't mount, but it killed me letting a decent one walk. Thankfully it paid off.

Yeah, I was going to tag him in on one of my deer control tags so i could hopefully shoot a bigger one later on but, I never found this one after looking for about 7 hours.

For the record, My 12 yr old son and I are Living on Venison till Pay day, 3 more days of that. Tonight I made a cool dish using the venison that I was going grind to use for my burger Meat. I Mixed the meat in a Zip Lock bag with Franks Red Hot Wing sauce and Italian bread crumbs poured in. Shook it up in the Bag till It was somewhat battered. then I added a little butter and fried it up in a Pan . It was different, But really good .
How do you like your Venison.?
