I hunt more than anyone I know. Spend more time out in more places. This is the first year I have not seen a deer in the woods.

It's really demoralizing. Never had a season where I didn't even see a deer, much less get this far into the season with out bagging one.

Thanks. Saw a trail cam pic of a 200 class taken within a .25 mile of my house. It got me excited again. No deer yet though.

What a year so far. After 3 does down this year and several scrub bucks walking well with in range. I found my self pulling the trigger on this one. He is by far the nicest 6 that I have taken and its bigger then some of my 8 pointers. Well I am going out on a hunt with my buddy deerslayer today. I just wanted to post up pic of both Mine and His this year. It looks like Deerslayer takes the Big Buck contest this year.

Good deal, thats a lot of meat. I also have most of my venison done by the local provision shop. I have them make hot/sweet sausage, kibasse, and they smoke the back straps. It's nice when everyone can enjoy it

How goes it folks??? It's hot, muggy, and buggy here in upstate NY however, just about 4 more months till i'll be back on stand, cant wait! I've been shooting a recurve my old man gave me years ago. I'd really love to hunt with it this season and slay my first ever buck with it. It's tough leaving the brand new Mathews Heli-m in the case but what a thrill it is launching Beeman 500's w/125 grain field tip at about 170fps lol Anyone still using the recurve anymore?

Sounds exactly like here in Michigan. I just got my first bow a few weeks ago and I'm eager to start shootin' **** this season
