Blind Dates

Who's been on one?

And, why do they always end up so awful?

I thought there would be some unspoken rules, but people don't get it. Example, if I had a friend who was a 6 on scale of 1 to 10(10 being good looking). I would set them up with a 5, 6, 7, or maybe an 8. But not a 2. Come on people. Get a clue. You might be able to date a few levels above you or be happy with a few levels below, but don't hook a bro up with someone who is not on the same scale.

Ok... who has got some good stories?

The solution is to set your friend up on a blind date with a transvestite you find on craigslist.

We enter the zone of impressive numbers when we consider the onetime cost of the 1996 floods ($27 billion, but still cheaper than the 1998 floods), the annual direct losses due to desertification ($42 billion), and the annual losses due to water and air pollution ($54 billion). The combination of the latter two items alone costs China the equivalent of 14% of its GDP each year." - Jared Diamond, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed

I got set up on a blind date by a friends girlfriend. She gave me the same story about how she's smart, good looking, funny, etc. Well she may have been smart and funny, but holy ****, good looking?!? Her eyes were so far apart that ET would point and laugh. So I did what any immature guy in his early 20's would do. I completely ignored her until she got pissed and left.

My mom or sisters would try to set me up with someone, and when I would ask what did she look like, they would say "she is really sweet." Translation: she fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Maybe she thinks a 6 is a little courteous.

Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

Yeah but then you get shown a picture of them 5 years ago before they put on 5 years of winter weight and bit summer weight too.

I personally don't know why anyone that knows my dating history(nothing but skinny girls) would think I would want to date a lardo. I am a very active guy and I like girls that can at least keep up with me.

I haven't been set up on a blind date before, I normally just say 'Hell No'. My best friend though (a girl I've known for years) said once that she wanted me to meet a real good friend of hers. Her words were "She's real smart and sweet, not too hot, but she isn't ugly" Haha, gotta love my friend, she's always dead honest.
