blew out another one
Yesterday was a great day- top off, sun was shining. just great. then as Ohio tends to do in the middle of my ride a storm rolls in. since I left all the pieces of my top at home I just drove in the rain. No big deal, still fun. Except the darn head unit blew again! Every single time I have the top off and get caught in the rain I blow another cd player. WTF?!
Is this a common problem with TJ's? How do I fix it?

did you not have the soft top still on? even if you just put that up it would keep water off your cd player

The only option you have is to get rid of that worthless TJ and get a real jeep I have never had that problem with my YJ.
Or get a marine stereo from a boat store. But the other option is much better.

i built a cover for my radio, took some plexi-glass i had laying around and built a box around the back of radio, the face plate gets a lill wet but is ok, havent had a problem till face plate went through washer
