yup thats the only time it happens to me, but its never happened to me while laying in my bed and jumping up fast to piss or anything.

Yeah, and if i think about it and try to do it, it wont. Sometimes it pretty cool, if it gets worse ill get it checked out. I think i need to get a physical soon anyway, so ill ask about it then.

I had that happen to me about ten years ago. I went to the doctor (GO TO THE DOCTOR) He did a blood test and they found that I had a small ulcer that would bleed a little at a time. Well I was seven pints low in blood. I had to go to the hospital and get a transfusion. I was told that if I were to have an accident and lose that much blood if I sat up or stood up I would pass out. They also told me that since I was losing such a small amount over a long period of time my body adjusted to it. The funny thing was I really did not feel that bad. I was going to work everyday just like usual. Get checked out.

It's called BPPV. Has to do with the litte hairs inside your ears. At least this is the typical cause of this sensation. Go see a doc, because this condition can get worse.

Hang on a sec.....You tell us that you often black out for over 5 seconds at a time and want to know if you should do anything about it and you think the doctors ask stupid questions?

So it is do to standing to fast or did i mess something up in my head and should possibly go get it checked out? Also does this happen to anyone else?
well lets start with I have no degree Im not a doctor but what it could be is low blood pressure you could be blacking out due to your eyes not getting enough blood flow for your eyes to work correctly, the same thing happend to me for over a year got it checked out and they ended up taking my thyroid gland out, NOT GOOD I could have died at any point in time(although) I have a predisposition to bad thyroids in my family... AGAIN!! go get that checked out have them check your blood pressure and your thyroid levels more people have thyroid problems and dont know "weight issues, heat issues, tremors excessive mood swings theres too many to list...

When I black out I wake up with a 10 dollar bill in my pocket and a sore *******. Consider yourself lucky.

I have this happen to me once and a while. It's been more frequent in the last couple of years, and I have fainted because of it. I was told low blood sugar, so when it got really bad (like everything when black and I couldn't hear anything) I sat down on the ground, and had my friend get me a can of Mountain Dew. I drank it slowly, and was fine.

Long story short: Drink some mountain dew.

I am just a lowly paramedic and don't know enough about you to even guess what the problem is, could be Blood Pressure diabeetes etc......get to a Doctor, if you don't like his questions, ask why it is relevant. But see a Doc and get it treated, this is a jeep forum and some pretty smart folks on here, but we are not doctors.

I forgot to add I hadn't eaten anything in the past 24 hours, that's the reason my blood sugar was low.

I dealt with a similar instance for over a year coupled with a year long headache. After numerous tests and drugs it was finally determined that it was Arnold-Chiari malformation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Brain surgery soon followed.
