that is ****ing awesome. because no one that has been standing in line at an airport for 2 hours only to be told to remove their shoes is going to be a little hostile.

who funds this crap?

i'm totally going to be a Behavior Detection Officer when retire from the military. i'll be super-qualified.

Hmmmm.....let's see. Passengers with facial expressions showing signs of fear or anger?? The last time I was at O' Hare in Chicago I'd say that would describe over 50% of the people I saw including myself and my wife. This is just wrong on so many levels.

The terrorists have won.

From Merriam-Webster online (www.m-w.com):

Main Entry: ter·ror·ism
Pronunciation: 'ter-&r-"i-z&m
Function: noun
: the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion
- ter·ror·ist /-&r-ist/ adjective or noun
- ter·ror·is·tic /"ter-&r-'is-tik/ adjective

I believe by the definition of terrorism, they have achieved their goal. America really pisses me off. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm pretty tired of the way things are and the way they are headed. We need to change. I wish another Teddy Roosevelt or FDR would come along.

Yea thats just great now when i go to pick someone up or try to travel i have to smile, you try circling newark airport 5 times waiting for a delayed flight to land so you can pick up family at the bagage area only to have some 5 dollar an hour security guard tell you to move it along if you are parked more then 30 seconds.

Actually, Israel uses something similar than this. 'Look for the terrorist rather than the weapon'. Seems to be working pretty good over there. As long as our guys get the same type training, and leave the PC bull out of it, it'll work good. But I doubt they'll leave the PC bull out, so it probably won't.

I typically smile like a sadistic maniac whenever I'm in the airport. I look so happy I could probably walk on the plane with a machine gun and they wouldn't know.

****ing idiot airport authorities

OH MY GOSH... IT IS THE DEATH OF CIVIL LIBERTIES AS WE KNOW IT. THE TERRORISTS HAVE WON. THE CONSTITUTION HAS BEEN BURNT AND REPLACED WITH THE WORDS: "BUSH IS NOW YOUR SUPREME LEADER. THAT IS ALL. HAVE A NICE DAY!" HOW CAN THEY BE INCARCERATING AND KILLING AMERICANS JUST BECAUSE OF HOW THEY LOOK? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!

Oh wait. They're not doing any of that? They're just using interpersonal contact to judge a person's potential threat level?

Oh.

Nevermind, nothing to see here.

Move along.

The end result will be that folks will just refuse to fly anywhere and just let this
"we're protecting you" feel-good garbage, (along with the airlines as well), die a natural death from non-use.

We have become a nation of seat-belt sissies. The gov't will keep intruding as long as we keep encouraging it.
