Best Star Wars movie
Since there was some discussion about the movies on another post, I thought I'd find out who liked which one best. So, answer the poll and tell us why you think so.

I like Attack of the Clones merely for the amount of Jedi lightsabering there was. Those things are awesome.

By the way, a little trivia for you guys (and yes, ESB was my favorite too), Akira Kurosawa actually helped out a LOT in that movie which is one reason why it's so much darker.

I agree. I didn't care much for phantom menace. I haven't seen Attack of the Clones yet. Is it any good? ![]()

I had to go with the very first one... no Ewoks and no Jar-jar Binks. Man I hate cutesy characters in otherwise cool movies.
Oh yeah, I'll second Wrath of Khan. That movie ruled! ![]() |

Just picked up the DVD widescreen set to watch them all over again for the first time since.. well, the 'improved' re-releases were in the theater back in 1997. Return of the Jedi was the first one I'd seen in the theater when I was a kid so I think it was the most fun and entertaining for me. Plus Carrie Fisher was practically naked so yeah... I think it's my favorite. Only thing bad about it was the frickin' Ewoks. What a joke.
Didn't care much for Ep. I and II. I mean everything looks 10x cleaner and all of the technology and design seems years ahead of IV-VI which is supposedly more into the future; so the continuity is totally thrown off. Plus Lucas had an orgy with the digital effects which made the films look too polished compared to the familiar gritty feel of the originals. The only cool thing was the pod race in Ep. 1. I'm hoping Ep. III will be halfway decent since it's supposed to be the darkest of all six films.
