Battlefield 1942

Just kinda curious.... being the Computer Geek that I am, thought I'd ask if anyone else plays Battlefield 1942? It's an amazing WWII sim... Just curious so I could look out for any fellow jeepers while lining up a sniper shot...

I used to play it, but when I reinstalled it, I had to download the expansion, and now there is another one out, so I'll just stick with Counter Strike. BF1942 is an awesome game though, I like flying the planes around, and gettting in the Jeeps and driving over the hills.

I've never played it but it sounds kind of like Operation Flashpoint. My favorite mission are flying the Heli's and it's cool to be able to sit in a Jeep a drive all over. The maps are just huge.

BF is a wicked game. the First Expansion sucked, but they just came out with another one that is well worth it.

For those that haven't played it.... it's like a first person shooter game, but you can fly planes, drive tanks and jeeps. You can play single player or online with upto 64 people.... Very very cool.

Another one that I played the demo for today is "Call of Duty".... it's supposed to be out this week..... very very sweet. I recommend trying the demo.

rdiller, I recently traded in my xbox because I wanted to give the world of PC gaming a whirl. I bought BF 1942 last week and I'm still getting used to the whole mouse/keyboard thing. Needless to say, I've been getting my *** handed to me. lol There are some dang good people online.

Great game though. I really like Omaha Beach. That's my favorite map so far. I bought Road to Rome as well but I haven't downloaded it. I'll probably get Secret Weapons of WWII next week.

My screen name is Good ole Boy.

That game is really awsome, and you know what makes it more awsome...You can drive a Willys ( along with like 2000 other vehicles, including air craft carriers)

I used to play it religiously, but kinda got bored after playing it every day and now I'm into America's Army. If you don't know its a free really high quality game put out by the US Army basically as a recruiting tool I think, but its sweet.
