Bathroom Sink Faucet - Plumbing Question!

Hello fellow jeepers, does anyone have some Kohler faucet experience?

So I have a pedestal sink in the bathroom with a spread style faucet (the faucet is in the middle and the hot and cold valve handles are mounted about 4" from either side of the faucet). anyway, do I need a special tool to remove the aerator? It is a Kohler faucet and it is not the typical "grab-it-and-spin-it-off" aerator. The screen is mounted to a grey plastic piece that is mounted at the tip of the faucet, but kind of up inside of it. In other words, you have to bend down and look up into the faucet to see the aerator, it's not like in your kitchen where you just spin off the aerator that's mounted to the tip of the faucet.

anyway, there are some little grooves around the outer edge of the grey plastic that houses the aerator, it's hard to get a bite with channel locks. I can get it to spin with the channel locs but it does not come off, it just spins as if it is not threaded. So i'm wondering if i need a special Kohler aerator key for this? Also, can i get the key at Home D or do i have to order it from Kohler?

Thank you!

Head to the local hardware or big box store and grab a strap wrench. If you use pliers,it will mar the crap out of it.
