Anyone use banana ketchup? Got some while in St. Lucia but having a hard time finding something I like it on.

If nothing you put it on tastes good it might be because banana ketchup sucks.

Well apparently you aren't putting it on bananas, after all it is banana ketchup.

You know Keith, I've tried this line at a bar before. Trust me, it doesnt work.

I just looked at Wikipedia. Seems they color it red. That helps. I dont think I could eat a banana colored, vinegar and spice mixed goo.

I don't think I could even comment on that without stepping past the pg-13 limits of the forum.

There, there, my friend. Don't fret.

Banana Ketchup is made in the Philippines from bananas, mashed, with sugar, vinegar, and spices and red food coloring.

It's not red, it's light yellow. Looks like thick urine.

I believe it's a Filippino thing. You can find them at most Filippino stores and some mixed asian markets. They're red and usually in them small ketchup type glass bottles. It's a bit sweeter than regular ketchup and some of them are a tad spicy. I have friends that eat them with spring rolls.

And you willingly paid money for it? How did you even try it in the first place? Please tell me it was a dare.

That's gotta be a challenge for the marketing department.
