Awesome Day

Well, i hate when people think there's nothing to do in a hot dry desert, they dont understand that i can drive 40 minutes from the center of vegas and have snow (in november), have lakes and rivers, mountains, etc.

Went with my friend to Lake Mead today, and then down a 4x4 trail to the colorado river. it was about 105 degrees, slight breeze, clear sky

pretty much had the beach to ourselves:

some people showed up...

then we went up the 95 a bit and turned off onto another road, that was "4x4 reccomended" it was a really crappy dirt road about 6 miles long, and lead down to the colorado river. had to walk the last half mile, no vehicles allowed:

water was 100% clear, and cold. felt like the ocean (well, the ocean in new england)

i had to play a little...

i got a little muddy in the desert, went a little to close to the lake...
