Anyone know how to bios flash a laptop?
I've been searching around, but can't find specific enough instructions to feel comfortable attempting this on my own. I've got an HP dm4-1102us laptop with the Insyde f.17 bios. I want to get rid of the whitelist so I can upgrade to an Intel 63XX wireless card, as I am experiencing intermittent failures with the stock Intel 6250. Anyone know of a guide or bios flash or anything to help steer me in the right direction with this? I'd really appreciate any help from anyone with some experience on this one. Thanks.

I know dell used to have a bios flash/updater utility, im sure HP has something similar, although the whitelist issue might need custom firmware anyways. Its been along time since ive really screwed with system bios' and such.

Apparently HP support just plays dumb about this issue, and they don't provide any support to remove their whitelist restrictions.

I might be a little in over my head trying to follow that general guide, but it may be my only shot. Thanks for posting it up.
