I was wondering, how much would it cost to build your own chopper? I don't mean fab everything up yourself like jesse james, but pick out the pieces you want and order it and bolt it together? Is that even possible? I'm sure it is. You can build a brand new Jeep CJ by ordering it out of catalogs. So, do any of you jeepforum guys have any experience with this? I know exactly squat about motorcycles, but I do like them and it seems like a very cool project. Would you be able to get it titled or would you have to buy an old clunker and use that title? I like the style (whatever it's called) like Indian Larry rides, with the tall handlebars and shorter wheelbase than some of the newer streteched choppers. Anyway, chime in if you have any info or comments.

Personally, I want to build my own too, but more than that, I want a custom something like the VW GX3 motorcycle/car. That'd be a sweet ride!

I've built 2 bikes. Add the cost of all the parts together and multiply by 3.

very good advice, I'm building a car from scratch, costs add up higher then you can imagine from the start.
