ANY WILLY WAGONS being built or have been built by anyone

I have always wanted to build one. On my way home from picking up the kids from school I went by a local junk yard who has had one sitting there for years. I was thinking of going and asking about it. i just think the ones that i have seen before fixed up are pretty cool

A wife, 3 daughters and a Jeep. Think you are broke now? Add another jeep to that equation. I am married with 2 daughters a 92 YJ and a 70 Jeepster Commando. I am so broke I can only afford to drive them one at a time.

I am very lucky though with the fact that Jeep stands for Just Empty Every Pocket. I found when I only owned the YJ that if I had any money it would be broke down. Twice I gave all my money to a homeless panhandler just so my jeep would run to get me home. Now that I have 2 Jeeps I no longer have to worry about it. I have no money and both Jeeps run great all of the time.

As for the the old Willys wagons I am hoping to get my youngest daughter moved out soon so that I can get me another Jeep and the Willys wagon is the one I want. My wife and I both like the lines of the Wagons. We both have a hard time deciding whether to find one with the rear windows and the seats and creature comforts of a regular vehicle with a rear seat or to go with the panel type delivery setup with no rear side windows and no seat. So we have more room for storing parts and junk in the back while I try to find the time to restore it. Plus with no rear windows I don't have to worry about the sun fading the parts before I can get them put on the Jeep.

I am verry resourcefull and have found many great deals and have the abillity to do all the work myself. I dont go out to the bars or smoke. I spend verry little on my prodjects and have made a few pretty cool rigs. I am lucky enough to live in an area that cheep parts are easy to find. I dont mind used engines and rusty parts. if I can spring bells and whistle i do If not I make my own. The Jeep i wheel now even with the differant motor this last summer ( I got for $100.00) still puts me at less than 2 grand in it and 4 years of wheelin. You can by and build at a low cost if you keep your eyes open. And when I sell my toyota i buit I will devert some of that into new prodjects. Example 1 I got this FREE from a neibor and fixed it for less than $500 with paint and sold it to a friend for $1500

and do not have alot into my toyota and should be able to get $2100 for it

My jeep prodject that I have started I got the bdy for free The engine for free from a friend Axles for $50.oo have the trans and case for old deal Roll cage off e-bay for $60.oo ( full cage with seat mounts) front bumper $20.oo ETC . Ibuild from scratch and scrap.as long as the are done right and safe I will well it.

A coworker had a slightly rusty job that he got for $250 and when me moved he GAVE it to the first person who offered to haul it off (not me ). It ran, needed quite a bit of work but was driveable and the body was in fair shape. I LOVE those old Willys wagons, pickups, and once upon a time I had a 50 Jeepster (2wd Phaeton). Sold it when I was young and stupid.
