Any Trout fisher people ?

I'd just like to take this minute and BRAG MY FOOL HEAD OFF

First palomino i've ever caught... I don't really agree with stocking them, so i kept her. 21", caught on a dead-drifted #16 wooly bugger, black.

Nice fish!!! I don't do much "bug chucking" myself...but enjoy float tubing on a lake or 3 up here. I'm more of a bait fisherman myself. Think that's big? Check out this trophy native rainbow my old timer buddy caught last year in Easter Oregon. 15lb Rainbow while chucking bugs.

Sometimes chuckin' bugs works pretty well.

Congrats' on the fish.

those are both some great fish!
here is one i cought at huntington lake california.
this was caught in a stream/river at apx. 7000 ft. elevation.
it was a damn good time on a try fly, and a 2# taper.

that palomino is gorgeous!
i want to get a natural golden trout, and a cutthroat.

Ahhh...the beauty of fishing with kids! That pic is worth more than the fish!

Good post.

I live in PA, in the Poconos, my father manages a stream for a fishing club, I've been stocking/cleaning/electrofishing surveying trout since I was 13. It has been a great experience, and it was such a beautiful area to grow up in. PA may not have the biggest trout (though we do have pretty big ones) but the streams we have are almost unrivaled in natural aesthetics.

I was just in the poconos! Some of the water I saw (from 80) did look pretty good.

I assume you're going to the jamboree?
