Any R/C truck guys?

I have a HPI Nitro Rush, and just put a brand new t-15 engine in it, and im doing the break in process, and when i give it gas it dies. Ive been playing with the needles but cant get it to stay on, any tips?

Bad fuel servo? Mine went out on my old truck(2 years ago), but it had similar problems to what you described. May just be coincidence that it went out at the same time you replaced the engine.

The glow plugs are fine.

I just got the engine idle sounding pretty good, nice and smooth, but when now when i give it full throttle it loses power then dies.

I think theres something going on with the brakes, it says you are suposed to be able to push it freely about 5 feet, it only goes about a foot though, so i gota figure that out now.

What if you gradually go to full throttle? If you punch the throttle at idle and it stalls then you need to adjust your low speed needle.

First off, with the transmitter and receiver turned on, make sure the throttle is open about 1 mm. Then adjust the linkage for the brakes so they aren't dragging. Next, you need to adjust your high speed needle and then the low speed. Go here- www.rcuniverse.com ...they will help you.

Check the bolts holding the carb on. If they are loose it'll suck a lot of air and kill at full throttle.
(My T-maxx had same problem a while back)

I agree with rnemovr, just change the plug and if its got old fuel suck it out and put new fuel in. My HPI Savage had this problem a few times.

Bah, screw nitro. Electric all the way. Just picked up an E-Revo with some 4200's and it's killer. Although I have been looking to get into nitro, just trying to get used to working on RC's in general before I tackle something that seems complicated like nitro powerd RC.

Has anyone noticed a difference in price/availability of nitro fuel? The hobby shop I have a part time job at still has the Traxxas Top Fuel for about $22 a gallon, but is a little low on supply.

Charging batteries is way more fun than adding some more gas!
