another school tragedy

this sucks, there was another hostage situation in a colorado, jefferson county (think columbine), high school. http://www.9news.com/acm_news.aspx?OSGNAME=KUSA&IKOBJECTID=f0907283-0abe-421a-01d9-13eae7db41d7&TEMPLATEID=0c76dce6-ac1f-02d8-0047-c589c01ca7bf
early reports are one female hostage was injured when the suspect either detonated a bomb or shot her. hopefully everything is ok, and many prayers for every family involved, especially for the girl who was injured

Just saw that on msnbc.com

guess it's over with one injury. don't know how severe. Saw it in the middle of class, but didn't tell my students

Edit: new report says she's in critical condition.

first reports were she was critically wounded, but did have vital statistics when she was loaded into a flight for life chopper. being a student from the columbine area this is incredibly sad to see.

the gunman is in custody. A student (maybe female) was critically injured and is being flown to the hospital.

It's not Jefferson County(Columbine) It's in Bailey, CO in Park County. Platte Canyon High School on US 285 I went to high school there while I lived in CO

My wife works at a local high school. Yesterday she said they had 7 police cars there on and off during the day to break up fights and various threats. Every day it’s something. And this is in an upper middle class neighborhood.

the situation did end a few minutes ago, and there is a press conference scheduled for 4:30 and they are going to explain everything that has happened.

Some screwed up stuff. Its sad the girl died, I could care less about the gunman.

I was kind of suprised, they were covering TO's possible suicide attempt moreso than a hostage situation at a high school.
