The skirting around our rental home needs replacing. I'm thinking about using a finishing nailer to do the job. The material is less than a half an inch thick and it's going into 2"x2" "studs" that hold the skirting in place, so I'm thinking it would do the trick.
Now, I don't have a nailer yet so i'm curious as to which one to get, or even if a finishing nailer is the right one to use. The skirting is only held on with staples now. Crappy mobile home type deal.
A member of my family wants to get this HF special, but I'm pretty sure it's too big for the job I need to do.
I was at lowes the other day and found this combo set, http://www.lowes.com/pd_253002-355-B...7C1&facetInfo=
,which I think would work out better in the long run, because I won't be building any sheds or houses from scratch and if I do, I'd rather use screws anyways. Personal preference. The reviews are meh, but it won't be seeing hard use. General repairs around the house, maybe some small wood working projects, but never professional use that I can forsee. I know the small little compressor wouldn't run a framing nailer if I were to get one in the future of course, but I do have a larger 12 volt compressor that I could use if needed. Opinions, thoughts?
