I think it depends on the guy wearing the shirt. I was in a fraternity for 4yrs. I wrestled in college, and I work out on a regular basis. I like the designs of the Affliction shirts. I have several, but do I think I'm a badass? No I don't, even though I train in juijitsu. I have very decorated wrestling career, boxed as a child, and tool akido lessons for 7yrs. I'm no badass, but I do train very hard. I will eventually compete in my first MMA fight, but not until I see myself as ready.

Like I said, it all depends on who is wearing the shirt. My gf bought them for me. She likes the way they fit on me. They're tight in all the right places. I don't wear them to work, or out with my buddies, but I wear them for her.

at first i was interested because i figured if they were for MMA guys, i'd finally have t-shirts that fit, but they don't. they have shirts for short skinny *****es.

but i will say that the zoom feature on the girls sinful line of clothing is worth a look.

My thoughts exactly, all of my t-shirts range from free-$20. None of them have fancy designs on them, but it's a t-shirt, if I want to dress up I'll put on something with a collar.

I went on a date with a guy who wore those shirts. He said he was into off-roading when he he saw me in a jeep shirt. Turns out he drove an H3 and had never been in a fight and has no tattoos. So I can attest, yes, they are all ******bag posers.

I used to not assume the guys that wore those shirts were retards, then I learned. You have to judge it based on the person, but I would say 90% are ******bag posers.

A big THANK YOU to AmbuGrl and Mudvain for upgrading me.

Yes, I'm a girl, I drive a TJ and like to get it dirty. Yes, I like boys. Get over it.

Why cant he just like the shirt? If you wear an affliction shirt, you need to have been in a fight? You need to have tattoos? Or you are a poser?

So you are saying there is a preconceived idea about people who wear these shirts. They can fight and have tattoos... Or at least you have this idea.

You met one guy and now all who wear them are ****** bag posers? Thats like me having a bad date with a chick in a black northface, over size sun glasses, and ugg boots and immediately starting to think that all the girls who dress like that are whores. Theres a lot of girls who look like that.

Its broad generalization you are making based on no facts and one encounter.

Not a very strong argument.

You must be new here. A good 90% of arguments on Jeep Forum are built on gross generalizations and a framework of logical fallacies that fall apart under the slightest bit of scrutiny.

"Sandstorms inflict damage of about $540 million per year, and losses of crops and forests due to acid rain amount to about $730 million per year. More serious are the $6 billion costs of the "green wall" of trees being built to shield Beijing against sand and dust, and the $7 billion per year of losses created by pest species. We enter the zone of impressive numbers when we consider the onetime cost of the 1996 floods ($27 billion, but still cheaper than the 1998 floods), the annual direct losses due to desertification ($42 billion), and the annual losses due to water and air pollution ($54 billion). The combination of the latter two items alone costs China the equivalent of 14% of its GDP each year." - Jared Diamond, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed

no, but I know a lot of them are, I have met them, my school is filled with them. A bar I used to work at has all them, I never spent time with any of them. This guy happened to be, he confirmed my previous suspicions.

I grew up getting in fights, I have trained, I am tattooed and I know a former UFC fighter. There is a difference. It is one thing to like the shirts and style, it is another to around thinking you are badass because of them. A lot of people get them because they think they are. It is the same thing as Fox, I used to wear it because I raced, now it is sold at pacsun and everyone and their brother walks around in it. Maybe it is where I live and the people I see, but there are a **** load of poser and badass wannabes.

And FYI, most of those girls are sluts.

A big THANK YOU to AmbuGrl and Mudvain for upgrading me.

Yes............If you like affliction or UFC or Tap Out shirts it means you are a dik wannabe poser who wears the shirts cuz they make you tougher than nails. It is not because you may like the sport or the way the shirts look

No one's saying there's a d-bag ultimatum for simply owning a specific brand shirt, but it does help to perpetuate a social stereotype as does owning a variety of niche consumer products. When a negative connotation is popularly associated with owning a specific brand, you almost have to expect some flak for it, particularly when it's established itself as 'gang' attire.

Also, girl trends are pretty much expected these days. Guy trends? Not so much.
