Adventures in truck sales
So I've got my box truck listed on craiglist for $3500. I get an email from a guy in Greeley CO asking a couple questions. I answer, guy responds with "I'll give you $2500". I tell him no, I bought the truck for 2500, spent another 2500 on having the brake system replaced and unless he has an interesting trade 3500 is enough of a loss. He says fine, call me if you change your mind.
An hour or so later another email comes in saying he's thinking about coming into town (he's about an hour away) for a couple things and might stop by to look at the truck and if he wants it he'll have "cold hard cash" to make a deal. I told him that's fine and that I've got appointments all day into the evening so I can't meet with him. But if he wants to drive by while he's in town, here's the location it's parked and my cell # so we can talk later. This morning I get up and find about a dozen missed calls starting at 10pm last night, a brief pause and then starting up again at 5:00 am and come in approximately every 7 minutes excluding apparent drive time between the 5 am and next call. His voice mails start out polite and degrades quickly, "this is Mike I'm going to drive up and take care of a couple things and might take a look while I'm there...". "This is Mike again, I'm going to take a look at the truck, call me back so we can make a deal." "This is Mike, I'm looking at the truck call me back" "This is Mike, you said you'd want to talk about cutting me a deal today, call me" etc etc until the last message where his tone resembles that of someone watching their child being pulled backwards through a wood chipper. "Obviously this isn't ****ing important enough for you to answer your ****ing phone. I drove all the ****ing way down here just to buy your ****ing truck and you won't even call me the **** back. I'll take my ****ing money and give it to some other *******, don't bother to call me back" I could understand if we'd had an appointment, but the last call came in before I was even out of the shower this morning ![]()

Apparently he thinks looking at the truck is more important then letting you sleep. So he wanted to drive it at like 5am?

I had a similar thing happen just the other day, I am trying to sell my 01 dodge 4x4, well this guy calls and right off the bat ask if I can take $5000 instead of the $6500 I was asking, I am in a bind so I told him yes, well long story short he shows up at 9pm when we had agreed to meet at 7pm. Then he says he was late because he had to go by his mothers house to get the money and she would only give him $4000. 40 years old and he has to borrow money from his mother?
I told him to come back when he had the other $1000 and he went bezeerk, wound up having to call the Sheriffs department, for awhile I thought I might have to shoot the guy! He never has come back ![]() dem peepels out dar is crazy man
