about this waving thing.

So i have had my TJ for a little over a month. I am in the process of saving money for Mods and all that. I have taken it off road many times since getting it and it does great stock. Nothing extreme.

So.. last Sunday I am coming home from work, I wait tables and Sunday is my Friday so I am feeling good anyway. I see Jeeps on the way home, TJs, YJs, and some XJs... I wave at all. Some wave.. some don't. The non wavers didn't bother me until I passed a TJ with what looked to be 35s on a 4" lift. lights, rock bumper all of that. so here is me and I make eye contact and wave... this SOB turns his head and shakes it with a smirk on his face. Now i have a bad temper so part of me was thinking. "go back, kick his a$$ and take apart his jeep and use the parts on mine" but as i got my bearings i looked up and saw a massively lifted trail ready CJ with battle scars to boot. This guy waved at me first. With no prejudice about my stocker. I waved back of course and it ended up we stopped at the same gas station down the road some and we talked a bit... he gave me pointers on being a jeep owner... i admired his CJ.. we parted ways. F*** that guy in the lifted TJ.. probably all show no go anyway.
Thank you for reading my little rant.

Blah blah the waving crud again. Now correct me if I am wrong but I believe I remember you saying you dont wave to anyone who is not lifted last time this subject came up, and only to xj's w/a lift and big tires. I make it a habit to never wave by the way it is just plan stupid besides here in NY where I live not one person waves to anyone, I guess we are not redneck enough.

Do you have PMS today or somethin? Geeze...........well i dont remember what i said last time but you are right.....sort of.....i dont wave to stockers unless they wave to me first MOST of the time..........if i see a Jeep i havent seen around before i wave....stocker or not but if i see a stocker i wave to everyday that dosent wave back im not going to wave to them.....its pointless...they look at me funny when i do it so i dont.....and not many xj's around here wave at all! it only seems liek the lifted ones do so thats who i wave at.....UNLESS they wave to me first......so there you go

Born and raised in Brooklyn... and I wave. Redneck?? Maybe the 2 years in Vegas has turned on me... then there was my Dad who owned a CJ and waved to all Jeeps and never lived anywhere but NYC... Man this redneck thing is spreading.

I wave to all CJ's / YJ / TJ's.... they're the only ones that ever wave back.... the ones I run into are the yuppies trying to be cool by driving a stocker... I never get a wave out of them.

I'll have to admit, it's kinda a redneck thing... when I lived in Cali, I never got a wave... but back here.... we're a bunch of hillbillies, I feel bad if I miss a guy that waves (I don't want people to think I'm stuck up....) but I'll say this.... rednecks are much more friendly...

I get a 85-90% wave back here in Massachusetts, though i only wave to Wranglers/CJ's cause all the other Jeeps are clueless.

Almost all YJ's return the wave, but the TJ's are a little lower. And CJ's i dont see many around here but they return most of the time also.

From now on I have decided to wave to all Cherokees & Liberties and only to CJs & Wranglers if I know they will wave back because I am so intelligent & evolved I know who will and will not wave back before I even see them....

How many times do we need to have this disscussion? It's the freaking JEEP wave. If you put rules and limitations on it then you aren't really "understanding" .... Period!

I started waving but only when I see a hot babe driving the Jeep. I will wave even if they are driving Hondas' or Saturns' or anything for that matter.
It's all good

People are too busy drooling at my jeep to wave back...

I stopped waving a long time ago because I hate you all.
